I am bare impressed with the article I have just read. I wish the writer of jackandjillputupablog.com can continue to provide so much worthwhile information and unforgettable experience to jackandjillputupablog.com readers. There is not much to state except the following universal truth: Looks can be receiving. I will be back.

I think we have been dealing with this exact issue for too long. Do we live in our home town where we both must work to get by, or do we raise our children in a big city and give them a stay at home mom? Who knows.

I think all the comments above make some very good points. Things and times have a way of changing. But one thing never changes, women have alot more to say about the subject. (smile)

I love staying at home and taking care of our vegemite - however, sometimes I feel like I should be contributing, only because I think, that I have always worked and taken care of myself, and now suddenly I am married and have a baby and I am at home and living off someone else and that has been very hard to get used to......BUT nothing is compared to taking care of vegemite......AND I am kinda relishing being a housewife (dare I say it)...for my hubby....heheheheheheheeeeeee

#1 - love the blog format.
second - I think it's most important to do what you love - If one is a better bread winner today, there's a reason - things may change tomorrow
Last - the comment above, makes a great point.

I think you are right about the connection of motherly and being the boss! Having motherly instincts are not about being submissive or taken care of, they are about the nurturing of something. It may be a child, relationship or a business. Anything you nurture, means of course that you have an intended direction for it to go(as it should) :P . Being taken care of is the desire to feel safe.
I think in this day and age we require balance of mothering/parenting and being taken care of. There is no one or the other anymore. I think people that do nothing and are taken care of are frowned upon (granted...most likely jealous of to a point)Society has taught us that we all want to be somebody...that somebody is proud of :)bottom line...I think you need both to exist! Most people that have a ton of money and no work to get there...lose it! Monetarily and mentally. Not sure if any of this applies...but you got me thinking! FYI: Bacon Rocks!
