Snicker Salad | A Holiday Tradition

by Jack and Jill on November 26, 2008

It’s Jill. It’s my tradition with my family as long as I can remember. I am from Fargo, ND and I believe it was my aunt Pat who made it first. We have it at every holiday in our family because it is that good.

Snicker Salad Recipe:

  • Part bite sized Apples
  • Part bite sized Bananas
  • Part bite sized Snickers
  • Mix it all together and lather it up with whipped cream.

One big bowl of yummy goodness.

What is your food tradition? Can’t wait to hear the answers! I am so hungry.

Make sure to keep us on the radar. We will be launching our DATE NIGHT IDEAS soon. This will include recipes, wine, movies, activities and more.

Fun! Will have to try it. Our fave is green bean casserole!

Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients:
4 cups cooked cut green beans
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
Dash ground black pepper
1 1/3 cups fried onion pieces

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°. Mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, black pepper, beans and 2/3 cup onions in 1 1/2-qt. casserole dish. Bake for 25 minutes or until hot. Stir it up. Sprinkle on the rest of the onions. Bake for another 5 min.

Enjoy!!

Stove Top Stuffing
Recipe: follow the directions on the box.
FYI: It is now not neccessary to make it on the stove top! It can be made in the microwave!

Yummy! Our favorite is my grandma’s scalloped potatoes. Can’t tell you the recipe because I’ve never made them but I know it consists of a wicked amount of heavy whipping cream. Delightful!
